Went back and forth on which size bed to purchase. Bought two of the 36" diameter beds for our two dogs, both of whom weigh about 45 lbs (one a terrier who-knows-what mix and the other a border collie), to put in the family room. The beds are actually larger than I thought: when the dogs curl up into a "dog ball", they only take up about half the bed. However, they also have room to stretch out which is nice.Color goes well in the family room so that was an important factor in the purchasing decision.Cover is easy to remove and launder in the wash machine. Went back on easily as well, right out of the drier.Foam is not the greatest quality (hence the 4 stars vice 5) but does the job. Suspect the egg-shell foam in the base is not going to last too long as the dogs "soften" their beds by digging at them before curling up. Looks as if it will be easy enough to cut out and replace the base when it becomes time. The digging actions has also caused some of the "fleece" to pill up and come off but no holes yet.Bought two 29" beds (different manufacturer) to put in our bedroom where the dogs spend the night and they fit them just right in the dog ball position.Bottom line is that the dogs hopped right into them and have used them daily ever since.
