My sweet little guineas love this hay. I’ve fed them Oxbow hay for years but my fabulous Vet told me about Rabbit hole hay and I see why now. The quality of each piece of hay is vastly improved. It’s a bit more expensive but I TRUST the quality and my piggies are loving it WAY more than the Oxbow hay. Oxbow is a great brand for guinea pig pellets and vitamin treats but their hay has been inconsistent and contained lots of dusty bits and even alfalfa which is NOT good for adult pigs because they can get diarrhea and stones in their bladders. Which is a 800-1200 dollar surgery that I had to get for my 2 year old male piggie from over feeding calcium unbeknownst to me. The Rabbit Hole hay is pure Timothy Grass Hay with no contamination of Alfalfa or dried out bits that they can choke on. I highly recommend you spend the extra money for this product. Guinea pigs can live a long time if their nutrition is good and if you understand the diet must be 80% quality Timothy Hay.
