My big cichlids love Hikari pellets. I had to move up to the large size pellets as some of my fish have gotten to big for the medium size. Great floating pellet that do not dirty the water. They started out with the mini-size crushed and now eat the large pellets. My Oscars are about 12” long, amazing colors and as healthy as can be. They are all about 3 years old now and absolutely beautiful. The Jacks are 5”-6” and very colorful from neon blues to metallic blues with streaks of iridescent blue, purple and gold. A well maintained aquarium along with proper feeding of Hikari Cichlid Gold pellet will ensure you healthy, happy and colorful fish. I have to add that I do have other brands of Cichlid food and when I hold the bags to the glass, all my fish go to the Red bag of Hikari pellets 100% of the time. If I feed them both the Hikari pellets and the other brand pellets, the Hikari pellets are gone before any of the other brand pellets have been touched. Now, that has to tell you something.I've bought this brand of food for years for my Oscar. He loves it, and the brand is a great choice for a healthy food option. I combine this along with some crickets and shrimp for full, rounded diet.My 8 and 11 inch Oscar's love this food. The only problem is it does make them poop a lot... but everything does so what can you do. I have seen an increase in the vibrance of their colors.This is the unparalleled best food for Tiger Oscars. No smell, easy to measure serving, and my fish loves this stuff.
