I tried a couple of other CBT books before and the language was pretty complex and it was tough for me to stay engaged. Kim's book was so simple to read and understand. The storytelling component really kept me engaged and the examples she provided really helped me to see the big and little picture of how this approach works. I still struggle sometimes with how to actually apply the science and strategy to my life and particular circumstance, but I realize that just like with anything new, it will take consistency and practice for me to see the results that I want. It's life-changing once you realize that changing how you think about things and approach them, can in turn change the behavior of others!
